The below diagrams demonstrate the process of cement-making and the procedure of concrete respectively.
While the production of cement would be a multi-stage process involving mixing and repeated crushing of the raw materials, the production of concrete would be a single step and in-situ process within the construction grounds.
The process of cement-making begins with the initial stage, involving pouring of materials like mined limestone and clay into the crusher, when the powder is then thoroughly mixed within the mixer. The resultant mixture is then pulverised and heated further within the rotating heater, where the increasingly granular powder is then further grinded into fine cement powder, before properly packaged into designated bags for a variety of purposes.
Regarding concrete production, this would be an in-situ one-step process involving precise mixing of raw materials in proportion. Generally speaking, this involves mixing of almost one-sixth cement with one-tenth water, alongside filling the mixer with 25% sand and the remaining half filled with gravel. All of the materials would be thoroughly mixed while being constantly stirred in the concrete mixer.
