Common Mistakes
- Not giving arguments for both views
- Not developing arguments for both sides
- Not stating your opinion
A common mistake is not giving your own opinion if it is asked for. It is best to choose one of the views that you have discussed, that way you will demonstrate a clear position (opinion).
Make the 2nd body paragraph the opinion that you agree with. That way your essay will flow better and the reader is sure of your opinion and why you hold this view.
